On the morning of July 22, Zhengzhou Market Supervision Bureau conducted administrative talks with three platform companies, including Ele.me, Meituan, and JD, to report prominent issues in the operation of delivery platforms in recent times, requiring platform companies to strictly implement rectification measures, effectively fulfill their main responsibilities, and maintain a fair and orderly network market operation order. The meeting required all platform companies to enhance their sense of responsibility and urgency for compliant operation, strictly review qualifications, complete a comprehensive re-examination of merchant qualifications within a time limit, focus on clearing "unlicensed" and "fraudulent license" violating merchants, establish a dynamic verification mechanism to ensure the legitimacy of operating entities; maintain fair competition, eliminate improper competition behaviors such as fake orders, false reviews, and malicious price undercutting, improve platform rules disclosure and violation punishment system, prohibit "internal competition", and promote a healthy and orderly development of the industry. Next, the Market Supervision Bureau will adhere to a "zero tolerance" attitude, launch a special rectification campaign, focus on cracking down on illegal behaviors such as unlicensed operation, fake orders, interference in pricing by operators, and big data "discrimination pricing"; increase the punishment intensity, implement a "double investigation one case" approach, and address merchant violations seriously.
