According to foreign media reports, the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics stated on Sunday that it is considering advancing the release time of the monthly CPI report to before the opening of the financial market, partly in order to boost trading activities. Currently, CPI data is typically released at 6:30 pm local time on the 15th of each month, after the market closes, as long as it doesn't coincide with a Saturday. The bureau stated that the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange has officially requested to permanently change the release time of the CPI to 10 am on the 15th of each month, when the stock and bond markets open, similar to practices in many Western countries. The bureau is also considering other options, but did not provide further details.
