Guangdong Maoming Initiates Level I Wind Prevention Emergency Response and Level I Flood Prevention Emergency Response.

According to monitoring and forecasting, under the influence of Typhoon "Wipha", the wind force along the coast of Maoming City will gradually increase to level 9 to 11, with gusts reaching around level 14. On land, the wind force will be level 8 to 9, with gusts reaching level 12, accompanied by significant precipitation. Currently, the typhoon red alert is in effect for Maonan District, Dianbai District, Binhai New District, and High-tech Zone in Maoming City. After comprehensive analysis and assessment, in accordance with the "Maoming City Emergency Plan for Flood Control, Drought Control, Wind Control, and Frost Control", the Maoming City Three Defense Command decided to upgrade the wind defense level II emergency response to wind level I emergency response at 14:00 on July 20, and simultaneously initiate flood level I emergency response.
