Hainan Province has raised its flood and wind prevention emergency response level from Level IV to Level III.

According to the relevant provisions of the "Hainan Province Flood, Typhoon, and Drought Emergency Response Plan", the Hainan Provincial Committee for Disaster Reduction and Relief has decided to upgrade the flood and typhoon level IV emergency response to level III emergency response at 8:30 am on July 20th. It is required that Haikou City, Danzhou City, Wenchang City, Dongfang City, Chengmai County, Lingao County, Baisha County, Changjiang County, and Ledong County immediately initiate emergency responses not lower than the provincial level response level. Other cities and counties should strengthen consultation and judgment based on the forecast and warning information from the meteorological department, promptly initiate emergency responses, and supervise relevant departments to carry out defense work.
