G20 officials express concern about U.S. tariffs
According to informed sources, senior finance officials from the G20 major economies expressed concerns about the impact of President Trump's high tariffs on the global economy at a meeting near Durban, South Africa on Thursday. After the first day of the two-day meeting, Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso told reporters that he was worried about the uncertainty surrounding US tariffs and their impact on the economy and financial markets. Aso added that tariffs are not the appropriate tool to address trade imbalances.
