Shaanxi issues orange alert for flash floods.

The Shaanxi Provincial Department of Water Resources, in conjunction with the Shaanxi Provincial Meteorological Bureau, issued the 22nd mountain flood meteorological risk warning at 17:00 on July 17. It is expected that from 17:00 to 23:00 on July 17, there is a high possibility of mountain flood disasters in counties such as Lantian County in Xi'an, Zhen'an County and Zhashui County in Shangluo City. The likelihood of mountain flood disasters is higher in districts such as Baqiao, Chang'an, Huyi, and Zhouzhi in Xi'an, Meixian and Taibai County in Baoji City, Zhenba and Foping County in Hanzhong City, Hanbin, Ningshan, Ziying, and Langao county in Ankang City, Shangzhou and Shanyang counties in Shangluo City. Mountain flood disasters may occur in counties such as Chenggu, Yang, and Xixiang in Hanzhong City. All local departments are requested to fulfill their defense responsibilities, closely monitor dangerous areas and areas where heavy rainfall is overlapping, strengthen on-site monitoring and early warning responses, and make early preparations for evacuation and disaster prevention.
