Non-US currencies generally rose on the release day of the US CPI inflation index, with the Japanese Yen rising by 0.7% and the Australian Dollar rising by more than 1.5%.
On Tuesday's closing session in New York, the US dollar fell 0.70% against the Japanese yen, hitting a new low of 147.38 yen, remaining in a downward trend throughout the day. The euro rose 0.23% against the yen, while the pound rose 0.30%. The euro rose 0.90% against the dollar, and the pound rose 0.98%. The dollar fell 0.73% against the Swiss franc. Among the commodity currency pairs, the Australian dollar rose 1.53% against the US dollar, the New Zealand dollar rose 1.42%, and the US dollar fell 0.27% against the Canadian dollar.
