The President of the National Assembly of Senegal announces his resignation.

On May 24th local time, the Speaker of the Senegalese National Assembly, Moustapha Niasse, announced his resignation from the position. In his resignation statement, Niasse stated that after careful consideration, he has decided to resign from this position based on his concerns for national institutions, public responsibility, and the highest interests of the country.
