The United Kingdom, along with France, Italy, Spain, and Canada, vetoed a proposal in NATO. The proposal required each member country to contribute 0.25% of their GDP to military aid for Ukraine. As it did not receive unanimous approval from all member countries before the NATO summit in Turkey, Secretary-General Stoltenberg withdrew the proposal.
