Li Ka-chao: Shenzhou 23 manned spaceship successfully launched, all Hong Kong citizens are excited and proud.
On the 24th at 23:08, the Long March-2F Y23 carrier rocket carrying the Shenzhou-23 manned spacecraft ignited and launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The spacecraft successfully separated from the rocket and entered its designated orbit. The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, warmly congratulated the successful launch and expressed her heartfelt wishes to all crew members. Lam stated that after more than 30 years of manned spaceflight projects, the country has realized the great blueprint of becoming a space power with forward-looking vision, strategic deployment, and unmatched perseverance. This mission is of great significance as it is the first manned flight mission during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period and the first time experts from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region have participated. All citizens of Hong Kong feel excited and proud. Lam also mentioned that the "13th Five-Year Plan" clearly states the goal of building a modern industrial system and accelerating the construction of a space power. With strong support from the country, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region can transition from being a "supporter" to an "executor" in the great cause of national space development. This not only demonstrates the contribution that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region can make to the construction of a national space power but also represents the best practice for Hong Kong to better integrate into and serve the overall development of the country.
