Anhui issues red weather warning for mountain flood disasters.

On the evening of May 24th, Anhui Province issued a meteorological warning for mountain flood disasters. Taohu County and Yuexi County in Anqing City, Jinzhai County and Huoshan County in Lu'an City activated a red warning, indicating a high possibility of mountain flood disasters. According to the joint meteorological warning information released by the Anhui Provincial Department of Water Resources, Anhui Provincial Meteorological Bureau, and Anhui Provincial Emergency Management Department on the evening of May 24th, from 20:00 on May 24th to 20:00 on May 25th, Taohu County and Yuexi County in Anqing City, Jinzhai County and Huoshan County in Lu'an City activated a red warning, indicating a high possibility of mountain flood disasters. Qianshan City and Susong County in Anqing City, Shitai County and Dongzhi County in Chizhou City, Xiuning County, Huizhou District, Hushan County, Tunxi District in Huangshan City, Jin'an District and Shucheng County in Lu'an City activated an orange warning, indicating a high possibility of mountain flood disasters. Additionally, according to the joint geological disaster meteorological warning information released by the Anhui Provincial Department of Natural Resources, Anhui Provincial Meteorological Bureau, and Anhui Provincial Emergency Management Department on the 24th, from 20:00 on the 24th to 20:00 on the 25th, Tunxi District, Huizhou District, Xiuning County, Qimen County, Hushan County, Yixian County in Huangshan City, Dongzhi County, Shitai County in Chizhou City, Jinzhai County, and Huoshan County in Lu'an City, and Yuexi County in Anqing City activated an orange warning for geological disasters, indicating a high possibility of geological disasters. In addition, on the morning of May 24th, the Anhui Provincial Department of Water Resources decided to initiate a level IV emergency response for flood defense in twelve cities including Hefei and Huainan. On the same day, the Anhui Provincial Department of Water Resources dispatched work teams to key areas such as the Dabie Mountain and southern Anhui mountain areas to guide rainstorm and flood defense work.
