Recently, the storage boom has pushed up the prices of electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid and upstream anhydrous hydrofluoric acid. The price of anhydrous hydrofluoric acid has been steadily increasing since March, and has stabilized in May. The main driving factors are the increase in raw material sulfuric acid prices and the low industry operating rate. However, due to long-term industry losses, profits are still in the recovery stage. Currently, electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid used for semiconductors is generally divided into G4 and G5 levels, with the latter having higher purity and being suitable for advanced processes of 14nm and below. An industry insider from a listed company has indicated that due to strong storage demand, there is expected to be a boost in demand for electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid, with G5 grade being relatively tight.
