CCTV exposes Chen Keming and Jinmailang's cunning trademark: "hand-rolled" and "handmade" products removed from online shopping platforms, customer service responds.
On the afternoon of May 24th, according to CCTV's "Rule of Law Online", brands such as Chen Keming and Jinmailang have registered "hand-rolled" and "hand-made" as trademarks, printed on the packaging of machine-made noodles, and accompanied by advertising slogans such as "noodles rolled by hand like mom", which easily mislead consumers. The report stated that Chen Keming's "hand-rolled" trademark has been declared invalid by the National Intellectual Property Office, but it is still being sold offline, and this kind of "clever trademark" has been suspected of fraud. The "BUG" column found that the aforementioned involved products are no longer being sold in several of Chen Keming's online flagship stores. Customer service personnel stated, "This product used to be available, but now it's not." When asked about the reason for removal, the customer service only said, "Not too sure."
