Establishment of the China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Center.

Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announcement, on May 24th, the China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Center was established in Beijing. The China-ASEAN AI Center will focus on four key areas: firstly, promoting technological research and innovation cooperation, strengthening the application of new generation artificial intelligence technologies such as large models in industrial typical scenarios, and accelerating the upgrading of industrial intelligence. Secondly, building a cooperative ecosystem for the artificial intelligence industry, establishing a dialogue mechanism between China and ASEAN countries in the artificial intelligence industry, and promoting bilateral and multilateral trade and investment. Thirdly, deepening artificial intelligence governance practices, strengthening standardization coordination and governance tool development, forming a more consensus-based governance framework and rules. Fourthly, assisting in regional capacity building, co-building intelligent infrastructure, sharing the dividends of artificial intelligence development, and promoting the bridging of the global intelligence gap.
