Market News: The Cantor Fitzgerald company, currently operated by the son of US Secretary of Commerce Lutnick, has been purchasing potential tariff refund rights at prices of around 20%30% of the refund amount. For example, a company that has paid $10 million in tariffs may sell its refund rights for $2-3 million. The US Supreme Court ruled that the tariffs in question were illegal, and refund rights holders are entitled to a full refund from the government, which could potentially bring in billions of dollars in revenue for Lutnick's banks.
