Rui Hsieh: Tariff ruling could be unfavorable to car parts retailers.
In a report, analysts from Mizuho Securities stated that the Supreme Court's rejection of President Trump's tariffs could be detrimental to automotive parts retailers like Advance Auto Parts, O'Reilly Automotive, and AutoZone, as the price increases for similar items may weaken. Tariffs had allowed these companies to raise prices, including old inventory purchased at lower prices. However, these analysts stated that they expect the Trump administration to turn to some alternative methods, including tariffs targeting specific countries or categories. "This will take some time," they said.
