The current industry competition has moved beyond the superficial stage of competing over general model parameters, shifting towards refined competition focused on the definition of vertical tasks, the accumulation of real workflow trajectories, and the construction of exclusive reward feedback mechanisms.
Orient released a report stating that it is optimistic about the commercialization and industrial iteration opportunities of Work Agent in the LLM track from a long-term perspective. The core logic revolves around the dual driving forces of model capability upgrades and the deepening implementation of vertical scenario projects. Leading model manufacturers have begun to delve into vertical scenarios, helping Work Agent complete the closed-loop construction from technical prototypes to industrial implementation. The current industry competition has moved beyond the superficial stage of comparing general model parameters, shifting towards precise implementation competition defined by vertical tasks, the accumulation of real workflow trajectories, and the construction of exclusive reward feedback mechanisms. Orient's main points are as follows: Event On September 2, Workbuddy launched its open platform open.workbuddy.cn, making the underlying Agent capabilities available to three categories: smart hardware, industry applications, and developers. Ecological partners can self-access, with the first batch of partners exceeding 100. Building a hardware ecosystem to support multi-end synchronization with a single account Currently, the cooperative hardware covers more than 10 categories, including smart glasses, recording cards, microphones, headsets, desktop companion devices, and keyboards and mice, across over 30 brands. It supports cross-end synchronization with a single account and launched 9 co-branded hardware products (Plaud recording card, Rokid glasses, Insta360 recording set, Youbasket keyboard, iFlytek headset, Anker desktop companion, MOMA microphone, Jingzao recording card). The firm believes that more hardware entry points mean richer service scenarios and a guarantee of more diverse data and information input. Launching the Buddy application entry, industry partners contribute vertical field know-how, and Workbuddy contributes agent capabilities Solving real tasks requires not only Agent capability but also the long-term accumulated know-how from the industry. The Buddy application is a native application built by industry partners based on WorkBuddy's Agent capabilities, centered around real tasks. Currently, there are over 20 fields (finance, SaaS, law, healthcare, etc.), more than 30 partners (Tongda Xinxin, GF SEC, Tencent Health, Peking University Legal Treasure, Weimeng, etc.), collaborating with WorkBuddy to build industry applications. Opening up three major capabilities to developers: Skill, Expert, and Connector, allowing developers to conveniently access Workbuddy via standard protocols. The Expert market provides two forms: Agent-type and Team-type; the Connector supports both MCP and CLI plans. Currently, over 100 partners are co-creating on the platform. The firm believes that the competition for Work Agent has evolved from purely competing on Agent capabilities (model + harness) to competing within an ecological system. Full scene information input from multi-end hardware, the injection of more vertical industry know-how, and greater co-construction with developers are expected to significantly enhance the operational capabilities of Agents in real scenarios, as well as improve the stickiness of industry partners to the platform. Additionally, user interaction data in multiple vertical scenarios could feedback into model training. Risk Warning AI technology iterations may not meet expectations, AI application implementations may not meet expectations, and AI commercialization monetization may not meet expectations.
