VIVA GOODS has invested over HKD 200 million to increase its stake in LI NING. Both companies' stock prices rose this morning. As of the time of this report, VIVA GOODS (00933) was up 5.88%, priced at HKD 0.36; LI NING (02331) was up 3.01%, priced at HKD 13.22. On the news front, on September 2, VIVA GOODS announced that through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Extraordinary China Development Limited, it completed a new round of share acquisitions in LI NING via the open market on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on the same day, acquiring a total of 17,253,500 shares at a total transaction cost of approximately HKD 228 million, with an average price of HKD 13.23 per share. VIVA GOODS believes that this acquisition, based on LI NING's recent reasonable market price, constitutes a high-quality and compliant investment that can effectively enhance the group's investment returns. This increase in stake is a continuation of the group's series of strategic expansions: previously, VIVA GOODS had cumulatively acquired 83,623,000 shares of LI NING from October 2025 to August 2026 at a total cost of HKD 1.277 billion, and further acquired 29,619,500 shares from August 28 to September 1, 2026, at a cost of HKD 398 million. The ongoing rounds of increases demonstrate a long-term optimism about LI NING's brand development potential and the growth value of the industry.
