A notice for a public hearing on tax breaks disclosed by Texas earlier defined the project, codenamed "TeraFab" as a "multi-stage, next-generation, vertically-integrated semiconductor manufacturing and advanced computing wafer fab." The initial investment for the project is estimated at $55 billion, with a total investment potentially reaching an astonishing $119 billion. The factory aims to provide core AI infrastructure and support for autonomous driving chips for Musk's Tesla, Inc., xAI, and SpaceX companies.
